Bicycle routes of the island of Pag
1. "Vodice (Pag beach) - Sv. Jerolim (St. Jerome's) - Gajac - Skunca (Novalja)" route
It starts at Pag beach and continues through the settled area Vodice (it is some 4 kilometers long). There you can have a short rest, have a refreshing drink, a snack or a lunch in a nearby restaurant. At the 5th kilometre (precisely, at 5,7th km) of your ride, on your left side, you will notice a sign denoting the beginning of the route to the top of the hill Sv. Vid (St. Guy). If you don't want to go with this uphill path you can carry on to the designation of the 15th meridian which is at 6th kilometre (6,3th kilometre). |

Welcome among the olive trees of Lun. the oasis of peace and one of the most beautiful and picturesque corners of our island. The nature left marks of it's generosity on these lands which leave us truely amased.
Among 80 000 olive trees, there are 1 500 wild olive trees (olea oleaster) that stand out with their uniqueness. They are 5 to 8 meters high and 20 to 80 centimeters wide.
This wild olive trees location has an area of 23,6 ha is the only of the kind on the Adriatic and has a high botanical and estetical value.
For it's characteristics it has been protected and pronunced a botanical reservation in 1963. If you lost your highly needed peace in an urban rush, find it again under the branches of these 1000 years old trees. |

On the island of Pag, which Latin sources referred to as Cissa, the Romans came across a powerful Illyrian tribe, the Liburians. Famed seafarers, the Liburians dominated a vast area of the Adriatic Sea during the early centuries of the first millenium before Crist. |
